7 REASONS WHY YOU REALLY HAVE TO GO TO KERALA

Beautiful nature parks, vast beaches, atmospheric coastal images, thousands of palm trees and much, much more. Kerala is one of the most beautiful states of India and in this area, in the very south of the country, there is more than enough to see and experience. Here are 7 reasons why you should really book a vacation to Kerala.

7 REASONS WHY YOU REALLY HAVE TO GO TO KERALA

1-To discover one of the nicest cities in India.

A relaxed atmosphere, hundreds of palm trees, beautiful buildings, cozy cafes and souvenir shops that you can’t get enough of. Kochi is definitely one of my favorite cities in India. There is not much to see and there is little to experience, but that is precisely why it is the perfect place to wander around and relax.

2-To explore the beautiful backwaters

The backwaters around Alleppey are breathtakingly beautiful and a boat trip along the palm-covered banks is unforgettable. You can sail through the rivers by canoe or ferry, but you can of course also book a traditional houseboat, so that you can enjoy the beautiful views in all luxury.

3-The South Indian curries are delicious

Everyone who loves coconut and fresh herbs will have nothing to complain about when it comes to food in Kerala. Most curries in Kerala are made from coconut milk and unlike the meals in the north, the dishes in Kerala are often light and mild. Fish lovers are also in the right place here; in the coastal towns you can eat delicious freshly caught fish almost everywhere.

4-You can stroll through tea plantations

The area around Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful. As soon as you leave the city, you will be surrounded by green hills, dense forests, beautiful waterfalls and extensive tea plantations. Munnar is the perfect place to completely unwind or to put on hiking boots and hike through nature.

5-You have paradise beaches all to yourself

I love Goa, but there you often have to share beautiful places with countless other tourists. In Kerala, on the other hand, you sometimes have the most beautiful beaches all to yourself. Swim in the blue water, walk on the vast beach or relax under one of the many palm trees. The best-known beaches in Kerala are Kovalam and Varkala, but if you don’t want any tourists around you, you can also visit the lesser-known coastal towns.

7-You can see wild elephants

There are thousands of wild elephants living in Kerala, which you can bump into with luck. Elephants are regularly seen around Munnar, but you have the best chance of spotting them in the Periyar National Park in Thekkady, where more than 1000 elephants live.
