If I ask about the ‘Paradise on Earth’, anyone could give an answer to it without thinking twice. Kashmir, one of the most alluring places in the world and when it comes to tourism, this breathtaking place always hits everyone’s bucket list. Most of you must be wondering that the place is mostly about nature and snow, and there would not be much to do. Well, that’s partially true because, besides the snow-capped mountains, picturesque lakes, and beautiful shikaras, there are a lot of things to explore.

Although, the place has a number of things to offer throughout the year but the best months to visit Kashmir is considered March to October. This is the time when the place witnesses 3 seasons: Summer, spring and winter. Confused when to actually pay a visit? Summer Season (March to Early May)

Be ready with your camera because you’re going to experience the most stupefying summer in Kashmir. This season is considered the best time to visit Kashmir because of the amazing climate when the place turns into real beauty as the snow melts all over the valley and allows you to trek in the mesmerizing paths across the valley.

The temperature generally remains between 15-30ᵒ C and the pleasant mornings with sunshine all around creates the perfect atmosphere and makes it worth visiting the place. During summer, Srinagar, Pahalgam, and Gulmarg are the most peaceful places to pay a visit to. So, you can get some Insta-worthy pictures while experiencing the best of the place.

Spring Season (July till September)

When it is about the most colorful time in Kashmir, that has to be the spring season without a doubt and the best time to pay visit is from July till September. The season covers the valleys of this beautiful place with different beautiful color of flowers. The very famous gardens of Kashmir like the Tulip garden and Shalimar Bagh becomes the most pleasing place to die for. The temperature usually remains between 13-17ᵒ C, receives rainfall of approx. 635 ml and also, humidity is generally low. And not to miss the dawn because it is exceptionally beautiful during this time in the gardens.

Winter Season (October till Mid March)

Carry a lot of warm clothes with you if you don’t want to miss the chance to see that heavenly white blanket of ice. Winter season usually starts in October and extends till February, whereas January being the coldest month. Well, no other season can match the beauty of Kashmir during the time of snowfall. Do you love winter sports? The place offers different snow games such as snowboarding, skiing, sledging, heli skiing and much more.

The temperature generally ranges from -2 to 12ᵒ C that means the weather can get freezing. Although, people who love adventurous trips pay a visit to this place during extreme winters but not to ignore that the weather conditions are adverse during the season, take necessary precautions before visiting the place.
