Remember we talked about Lumbini Park previously and if you remember properly, we took you on a boat ride at the Hussain Sagar Lake. NTR Gardens are adjacent to that lake only. NTR gardens are one of the famous and most visited entertainment spots for the locals and outsiders as well. The garden is dedicated to the late N T Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and is considered one of the most expensive properties in the country. Spread across in the area of 55 acres, built with a grand budget of 40cr. offers a number of recreation facilities that include toy train, fruit restaurant, roaring cascade, Japanese garden, care cafes, gopuram, a fountain, and a splendid entrance plaza with Nandi Bulls. All in all, whether you’re a native of the city or you have visited it, make sure you don’t miss to visit NTR Gardens.
Timings: The place remains open from 2:30 pm to 10:00 pm on all the days.
Entry: The gardens will ask you to pay a little amount for the entry. Rs. 20 for adults and Rs. 10 for children.
Photography: If you’re one of the avid photographers, remember you need to pay Rs.30 per camera and Rs.65 per camera for the video camera.
The best part about the gardens is that you can book the NTR Garden’s party zone on rent for parties. For that, you need to pay Rs. 21,000 per day plus service tax. Not to forget that you have to pay Rs. 5,000 separately in the name of security deposit. They are refundable.

Things to do when in NTR Gardens
- After you enter the garden, you’ll find a mini train on a single track that can make your visit more enjoyable as it takes you all around the garden.
- Then you can visit the latest addition in the garden i.e. the Desert Garden, which has 150 different variety of plants mainly desert plants like cacti, succulents etc.
- One thing you’ll definitely about being in NTR gardens is its natural surroundings and numerous entertainment activities. The superb food at various eateries, fruit restaurant, and car café also need a special mention. The special part about the restaurant is that they are surrounded by 3 petal-shaped ponds, in order to provide you with not just tempting food but a perfect ambiance to sit in.
- Now, here comes another amazing attraction that is a multi-storeyed Machan Restaurant built on a tree shape. Make sure you also try out some local food like Mirchi Bhajji while witnessing the beauty of this garden.
