Packing List For Costa Rica

Costa Rica is the home country of lush green rainforest, located in Central America. Costa Rica’s capital, San Jose, is known for cultural institutions like the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum. Over all Costa Rica is known for its biodiversity and beaches. It has a wide variety of rich flora and fauna as the country consists of protected forests. It goes without saying that if you are here, you must have already set your itinerary in place for visiting Costa Rica. So now read further, as we detangle your packing list for Costa Rica, knot by knot.

Clothes

Your mantra for shortlisting your clothes for this trip should be,’ KEEP IT CASUAL.’ Costa Rica is known to be a casual country except for a few areas like the San Jose metro area and a few. Imbibe and channelize your inner casual self by carrying comfortable clothes like linen tops, casual t-shirts, and shorts.

For occasional fancy outings, a simple dress or two or a shirt will do the trick for you.  To visit places like a museum day at San Jose, pack something nicer and little dressier. Shoes

Then again, flip flops will suffice for the most part of the country except the city. Close-toe, flats, and sandals will do the trick. Carry hiking/trekking shoes and boots according to your planned activities.  Hiking sandals are best as they are quick-drying and comfortable.

Toiletries

Keep intact all your basic toiletries like shampoo, body lotion, face wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, and floss. Keep other toiletries like your tampons etc handy as their availability over there could be a problem at local shops.

Medicines

If you are taking any specific medicines make it a point to carry it along or make sure you find the Spanish name for it. Additionally, make it a habit to carry a first aid medical kit with yourself all the time you travel, in order to make sure that you are secure and hands-on for every situation coming your way.

Mosquito Repellent

Mosquito repellents are a holy grail to your bag pack as adventure activities like hiking and trekking naturally require protection. One can also carry mosquito coils as they are readily available and protect yourself from catching a flu or virus.

Other Extras yet not-so Extra

•Carry a back-up of all your batteries and a power adapter.
•Waterproof zip-lock bags and phone case to protect your important stuff while you are on the go.
•Keep a Spanish translator app handy and also your travel guides and map should shadow you all the time.
•Flashlights that are compact can be Instrumental while you are hiking your way through the hills.
•Camera is obviously a must-have while face wash. How else would you turn back to all the amazing times that you have spent.
•Also, don’t forget the 3 S’s which are Sarong, Sun hats and sunglasses.

Tourist Attraction

Now while you have strike down all the packing essentials, revisit your itinerary and make sure you have all these places listed down. Poás Volcano National Park, Arenal Volcano National Park, Video Arenal National Park, La Fortuna Waterfall, Celeste River, Manuel Antonio National Park, Tamarindo Beach, Papagayo Peninsula, Monteverde Cloud Forest etc are just amongst a few great places that you will witness in the beautiful country.
